SOuthern Cal gets much of it's water from northern Cal. We have an extensive channel of canals running through the state. Plus we have friends in Washington and Oregon that get tons of rain. They would be glad to get rid of some of their rain..........I know that for a fact!

The snow runoff from the SIerra is massive and could be better harnased to pick up the slack from the loss of the Colorado. SOme areas of the SIerras get total snowfall of 30+ feet on a regular basis. One year Truckee Ca, got 42 feet of snow! That's alot of water when it melts!

Desalination could be also used.

Plus...........Cal is great when it comes to conservation. A little goes a long ways.

No body is better at innovation than Californians.
