I agree with most of your analysis. The five-point gain last Friday was bound to fizzle a bit. The jump was clearly related to Merrill and Morgan, and Wall Street never reacts--it only over-reacts.

The fact that the stock is remaining in the high 20s in a down market with Intel and the other semiconductors going down is a very strong sign, IMHO.

The only part of your analysis that I question is that I think there will be a growing market in consumer electronics, beyond electronic cameras. (I agree entirely that digital cameras will be the biggest market for the immediate future.) With most new applications for computers generally, it's almost impossible to envision them ahead of time. It seems you need a Jules Verne-type imagination to forecast the next computer application.
