Actually he did wind up getting caught. He used to hang out around the apartment complex. I recognized him well enough for him to be arrested, but my ID wasn't strong enough for a conviction, is my guess, in retrospect. But he was a serial rapist, and at least one woman did have a strong enough ID to lock him up for a while. My charge was dropped.
