That's far from a certainty:

Gold & Silver are higher in CAD than it was a year ago, Energy is up substantially in CAD terms. I think the % GDP derived from Energy/mining will be up substantially in the next few years. I think you mean to say that the boon to the Canadian and Aussie economies "aren't what they appear to the U.S Citizen". There is plenty of lavish partying going on in Calgary.
