Googled "Hmong cultural wife".. Came up with this interesting link: hmongnet.org. Didn't exactly explain the term, but it does mention that Hmong can have more than one wife. (Not sure if that means in America).... Another link said that when a couple marries, the woman takes her husbands ancestors as her own. The link above does discuss some of the history of the Hmong people and their culture. My guess is that there is more here than we know....perhaps something snapped when there was a trigger from something that had happened in his past.... TWT
