70 years of the Khabarovsk THERMAL POWER STATION - 2

The Khabarovsk power station, THERMAL POWER STATION - 2, became the first of the big power plants in the Far East. The station has provided with electric energy for oil refining and other enterprises of the regional center.

In the middle 1950's when in Khabarovsk mass housing construction was developed, THERMAL POWER STATION - 2 was reconstructed to produce thermal energy. Now the station provides heat to the central part of city of Khabarovsk. In search of the optimal modes of burning of fuel, modernization of the equipment and construction of technological objects proceed . So, to the beginning present heating seasons new capacities for storage of black oil and control and measuring technical equipment is replaced.

With end of construction of a gas main the oldest city power station expects as a matter of fact a rebirth: it will be converted for burning of the cleaner natural gas fuel.

In connection with the 70-anniversary of the Khabarovsk THERMAL POWER STATION - 2 the group of workers of station is encouraged along with Russian Open Society " UES of Russia ", the government of Khabarovsk territory and a management of Open Society "Khabarovskenergo".
