I am sorry
You lived my primal fear that I would lose my passport or one of my kids
It must have been chilly in Scotland. We kept an eye on the weather there, knowing you were staying there.
I love kilts. I remember one evening when I was walking home (after talking to you, so it must have been a Friday) and outside the train station there was a man (a handsome man) in a formal kilt, standing with a woman in a gorgeous silk fawn evening dress, with a silk wrap (she must have been freezing). They looked like a cover for Country Live- Scotland with Style. Anyway, kilts, very sexy- even on guys with t shirts and tennis shoes as accessories.
We were in France and watched rememberance day on the TV. The queen goes to the Abbey and this time Prince William was with her for the first time. There was a nice eulogy type thing, and then two minutes of silence- for England's war dead. Very somber. I did wonder what happens if it rains. Do they use umbrellas? Or do they stand stoically in the rain?
I envy you for getting inside the embassy. I love the area where the embassies are. Was it luxurious inside? Were there any handsome attaches, who held your hand, and told you everything would be ok? Did you get tea? And what did you wear?
I think you need to look at the embassy visit as a really unusual tour. You can't buy excitement like that.:-)
Welcome home, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and a good long rest. |
