"But we can't have children running around wishing each other "Merry Christmas"

Why not? It is perfectly legal. I wish people "Merry Christmas" because it is part of the culture I grew up in and live in. I do it as a courtesy and because I believe that human beings are important whether or not they are scholars.

But I would not want my children to be forced or coerced to rub their nose on the ground 5 times a day to Allah--by the school or by any Governing body. So neither do I want others of different faiths to be coerced or obligated to publicly support a God or belief they detest, find ridiculous, or simply do not believe in.

I believe in diversity because it is a fact. America is multicultural; the world is multiculturtal; the universe is multicultural. Church and State MUST remain separate. Because State represents and wields POWER. And if the Church and the State are ONE, there can be no freedom of religion...translation: NO FREEDOM OF THOUGHT.

Because, exdaytrader76, when it is right for you to use the State to coerce others with your beliefs...then it is right for others to do the same. Right now you DO have a right to say "Merry Christmas". Think about it...
