Rex, You sound like you are an engineer so I thought I'd run a question by you.

First I'm trying to figure out the best play in GaAs - TQNT at first seemed like it was the ADI of GaAs but your posts have brought up several concerns.

As I understand it, the primary advantages of GaAs are speed, lower noise, and lower power consumption. All of these seem applicable to PA's and receiver sections. I am less sure as to how these advantages apply to digital circuits (on typing this, the obvious thing is speed).

Was your point on RF sections pertaining to the relative cost performance of silicon versus GaAs. Is there a way to quantify where this trade off occurs? Surely some applications would need the greater sensitivity that GaAs provides.

Also how does ANAD PA line compare to TQNT's? Thanks.
