I figured this would be the appropriate forum to post this find. It's my understanding that options can be used to leverage risks, but in some cases they can be even riskier than just owning the stocks outright. I have a few stocks in my portfolio that appear to be good options candidates. But I'm not familiar with how to play that game. In fact, I really don't know much about options period.

I am learning, though. I'm currently enrolled in a free options course with 21st Century investor education. They offer some decent step-by-step explanations about how options work and different strategies for making them work for you. For being free, it's a pretty decent course, too. It starts off at the "know nothing" level, and gradually builds you up to the "know plenty" level. If you're unfamiliar with the terminology of options trading, the different risk/reward scenarios for the various options strategies, or basically want to know where to start, this is a pretty decent course.

Here's a link to their course offering. It requires a simple registration but it is worth it if you're seriously considering going the options route. The course is all online and self paced.
