I have never heard of VeganVanguard.com. I hope they are doing good works for animals, though.

The expansion of the quote does not really change the point, at least for me. It is quite common to abridge quotations for all sorts of reasons. Who would want to read a book just to relish a sentence or two?

I doubt that "vegan marketing fodder" is nearly as powerful as the entrenched animal cruelty industries are in America, but I do wish them the very best.
