Yeah, the lives of the people who worked there were impacted by the business success/failure.

And there were people here on SI who were impacted by the effect the success/failure had on the stock.

I wonder where the software ended up, and whether it was actually useful for anything post Y2K?

I tried to follow up on that a couple of years ago, but lost the trail when it faded away into the woodwork.
