Happy Thanksgiving to all! .. We don't have an orphan here but all the kids came, and a friend of Neice 1 came with Neice 2 from CA to spend these days with us. I currently have one lense in my glasses, which makes for an odder than usual look for the "aunt in the attic". But Puppy made the best welcome of all. She was excited when Neice 1 arrived Tuesday, and the same when Nephew arrived yesterday. But the arrival of two more, and one a stranger who smelled of Big Dog, was just too much. She crept warily to the stranger, sniffed, and backed away. Stranger, being a dog person, spoke kindly to Puppy, to which Puppy responded by going low and backing away a little more. Stranger then bent low and held her hand gently in offering. At this point, Puppy growled low in her throat then peed... a lot. Neice 1 tried to assure Puppy, which led to great shaking and more peeing. At that point, "aunt in the attic" thought it best to make Puppy into an attic dweller, as well. I feel bad. Stranger looked rather hurt. I hope she gets Puppy kisses before her time of visiting over.
