<forestry is getting whacked hard right now with the high loonie, don't think we're exempt up here, when they catch a mild cold we get pneumonia> A soar spot in CAnadian industry.... we simply cut too much too fast here, period. Some of the practices here make the US look Green. The wood issue is a matter of oversupply and greed IMO. On top of that, science will show over the next decade or so how naive and damaging logging practices have really been... and Canada is leading the way.... which helps show that Canadian's 'holyer than thou' schtick has lots to do with circumstance vs the US, and little to do with a higher level of conciousness.
