That is pure bullshit JR, and no offense meant, but it shows an ignorance on your part, of what is happening in the rest of the world, even of what is happening around you. Of course Canada is a friend of the US, always has been, but that does not mean that we accept every wrong headed thing that you do. Many of us think that you are led by an out of control cowboy, surrounded by a group of neo cons that feel they own the world.
Hell man, based on the recent election coverage I watched, 48% of your population think the same way. Take your blinders off and turn on your TV for a few minutes before you go spouting such a ridiculous statement. It is that narrow thinking that has the world scratching their heads, wondering what the hell has happened to the US.
I cannot speak for all of Canada, but I'm confident that what I say is not too off the mark for the majority. If you were to need us for any sound, legitimate enterprise, we would be there.
If you had a best friend, say since childhood, who all of a sudden went berserk and beat his wife, would you help him by holding her, or adding to the blows? Not freaking likely, but you may try to restrain him, offer him help in other ways, and support if he mended his ways.
That is about how I see it, but I am offended by your broad brush statement.
