Misunderstanding here. If you go back to the chain of posts, and read the post I was answering, you will see I was referring to another poster and not to you. I deliberately left out the alias so that only someone who went to that trouble could know who I was referring to.

The etiquette point you raise is thorny. The post I was answering referred to a certain poster, and I could only reply relevantly by referring to that same poster. Of course, I could just not reply -- but isn't that a breach of etiquette?

Anyway, you had nothing at all to do with it, and I am sorry if you were temporarily discomforted.
