I don't want to burst your bubble here, but in 2003, The Phil Donahue Show was the most popular program that that network had. Due to management biases, the show was canceled. As you might be aware, Donahue was offering a "liberal, progressive" alternative to the right wing propaganda being sluiced out of the pig sty by the likes of Hannity, Limbaugh and O'Reilly.
And what did MSNBC replace the reality of Phil Donahue's popular programming with? You guessed it, 'improved' coverage of the Laci Peterson case, the Kobe O'Brien case, the latest on Mary Kay and Ashley and Paris Hilton. |
