O/T (sort of) - The Global Financial System & the "Terror Economy"

... Came across some interesting material pertaining to the impact of the "terror economy" on the overt finanacial economy. Rather topical I feel due to the present precarious nature of our global financial system, the tumbling US$, and the ongoing "war on terror".

Couple of books:

Modern Jihad: Tracing the Dollars Behind the Terror Networks, by Loretta Napolioni (2003)

amazon.com

- and -

Dollars for Terror: The Us and Islam, by Richard Labeviere (2000)

amazon.com

There's a fascinating interview with Loretta Napolioni at the following link:

modernjihad.com

(actually, Loretta's site www.modernjihad.com looks fascinating)

A few other interviews also pertaining to the global terror economy:

At the following site there is some wonderful audio material:

wfmu.org

Specifically regarding the "Terror Economy", see the following interview with Lucy Komisar titled : FTR 387: The Financial War on Terror, from December 3, 2002 with

wfmu.org

Or, the transcript summary at the following link:

Also at this site, in reference to previous commentary about the Seagrave's wonderful Gold Warriors - America's Secret Recovery of Yamashita's Gold, there is an interview with Peggy Seagrave at the following link:

With a transcript summary at the following link:

BTW, the unifying subject matter of Dave Emory's site is the history and nature of global fascism. For anyone interested, there's unbelievably good content illuminating "deep" political undercurrents of our world.

FWIW.
