Depp is an amazingly flexible actor with incredible depth.

I've watched him for years.. starting, I think, with What's Eating Gilbert Grape. DeCaprio is wonderful in that film as well. I used to know Depp's ex-wife and she always spoke highly of him as an individual and they maintain a friendship to this day. He always makes what he does look fun. This reminds me... I need to see Edward Scissorhands. I've never seen it because it just didn't look like something I would enjoy, but I may have to break down and see it anyway. It may surprise me.

While it was not a huge part for him, Chocolat was a fine film too. It was directed by Lasse Halstrom who also did Cider House Rules. He has such a softness about his films.. they are almost gentle in their nature, yet they have strong story lines and address many taboo subjects.

Anyway, it's clear that Depp has a tremendous range, from Ed Wood to Once Upon a Time in Mexico to Pirates of the Carribbean, he's an amazing actor. I would expect that Finding Neverland will be in top contention come Oscar time.

Thanks for the reply and have a wonderful weekend.
