James > expressed by Holy men who were given his words through divine inspiration, shall outlast the prideful words of man

Therein lies the problem and the contradiction. There is no way anyone can know whether the words given through "divine inspiration" were not "the prideful words of man". It is simply a matter of what anyone chooses to believe -- and skillful marketing.

> It has been attacked throughout the ages but no man has been able to quench it's divine purpose.

Unfortunately, the "words" have also been twisted and distorted over the ages so that it is now impossible to know what was "divinely inspired" and what was not. A word is a word is a word.

> we think we're quite intellectual- reason is better than truth that has been tried and tempered by fire and violent suppression throughout the ages.

Unfortunately, there are so many versions of this truth, and genres of believers, each one believing that his version is correct. Is there a correct one? And, indeed, if this this "truth" can give rise to people like W (and many like him), someone who can unleash the forces of war on innocent people, including children, then, as far as I am concerned, this is no truth. And he is an imposter.

> We are no more intellectual than those throughout history who have tried, without success, to destroy God's Word.

Nor are we sufficiently humble to receive it. Piety is not humility, nor is self-righteousness.

> I thank you for at least giving it a benefit of doubt. (smile)

You needn't thank me -- and I do not give the true "word" of God any doubt. The only word I doubt is the word of imposters -- those who pretend to receive the "word" and then claim exclusivity and Divine inspiration because they do. Every living creature, and indeed, inanimate object, on this earth is here because of God -- and not because of any religion -- all of which are simply imposters -- each one claiming an exclusive purpose for itself and its adherents -- and each one bringing more evil in its attempt to bring good. History is ample proof of that.

And, you are no more a disciple of God -- or, indeed, a child of God, than I am or anyone else is. That was Jesus' position with the rabbis -- and for that he was crucified. Jesus had a lesson for everyone -- unfortunately, very few heard it.
