I should have said, "if I wanted to increase the power of my vote as much possible, I needed to..." instead of "I had to..." Nobody forced me.

Mandatory voting might help derail the party system, but I'm afraid that the real solution is education of the masses. That won't happen as our dollar's value plummets. There is just no money left to pay for anything other than the war in Iraq. Imagine how little there will be when we go after Iran!
