THE SIDE OF THE ANGELS? Who's kidding whom?

Hi Glenn,

I did not find the article to be at all off topic. In fact, it is perhaps one of the most important documents on this thread. Thanks for spotting that one. There's so much to try to keep up with today that it has become an impossible task.

Here's some more on the Ukraine situation, as seen by Ukrainian activists:

Re: I am wondering, and please bear in mind that I am not trying to bait you, are you in favor of such U.S. intervention when we are on the side of the "angels?"

That is, of course, a strictly rhetorical question inasmuch as the U.S. military, the C.I.A., N.E.D. (the National Endowment for Democracy), U.S.I.A., R.F.E., etc., etc. have never, ever been known to intervene on "the side of the angels". All these organizations have a 100% track record of intervening on behalf of U.S. domiciled multinational corporate interests.

In the late 1940s, the U.S. elites intervened in the internal politics of Italy and Greece for exactly the same bloody ends that they've just intervened in Ukraine. Because capitalists demand that any opposition to their rape of the planet must be suppressed in any fashion possible, no matter what the local population aspires to.

For those who are unaware of how their tax dollars are being spent in order to de-stabilize democratic regimes across the planet, a study of the National Endowment for Democracy is in order.

Here's a NED-Ukraine link:
artukraine.com

NED has been one of the most vulgar right wing agitators in Latin America for decades, where it is notorious for its role in ruining the Aristide regime in Haiti, creating a hellish warlord anarchy that favors the corrupt elites in Haiti who are in cahoots with the Bushies. In Venezuela, NED is known as a subversive and virulently fascist agitator. Fortunately, Hugo Chavez had greater support among the military and civil society than did Aristide, and he was able to thwart the theft of the Venezuelan presidency by a U.S. sponsor thug.

Here's a bibliography on the National Endowment for Democracy:

Glenn, the simple fact is that you are extremely naive to regurgitate the crap about our interventions over the decades being for the sake of "democracy". That is a hollow hypocrisy. "Democracy" is now merely an Orwellian right wing code word for "snaky, snarky imperialistic colonial corporate exploitation". Bush's Fascist Bully Boys shout "SSICCE 'Em!"
