I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for your childish (spoiled brat) tirade last night and today. Thanks to you, I believe I cannot go over to Grainne's thread and express my heartfelt opinion of her thoughtless post for fear that I'll be labeled by you as being a member of "the mob", even though I am not a part of any mob, no mob exists and I am not an Islander (to express it using your word). Thank you for all your efforts on this point. In a misguided, self-annointed effort to save the SI community, you instead opt to destroy it. We are now at the juncture where no one can justifiably criticize Grainne for her careless, insensitive, callous, wanton and cruel off-handed remark without fearing being unjustly labeled by you. Not that it matters much. I haven't ever posted on the Feelies thread, and probably never will. Before her ill-advised comment, I had never even heard of her. Perhaps she used to have a different alias, one with which I would have been more familiar, but now I'll never know. No, instead of posting to her, I'll just give a long cold stare in her direction, shrug my shoulders and leave her to her lonely self. I'll say to myself, "Consider the source..." and walk away knowing that I am the better person for having not engaged her in some argument over a statement she made that cannot possibly be rationally defended.
I don't know what has gotten into you, Graystone. You used to be a very nice, very civil fellow. Things change over time, I guess...
As for mobs, when being critical of mob rule, and things like that, remember your own posts in that vein on the AZNT thread, where you joined "the mob" to criticize certain AZNT longs unmercifully. Remember those days? Not the same thing you say? Why not? Because those longs were truly wrong and "the mob" was truly right? Because the longs were and are, to this day, idiots and Grainne is not? Seems to me that you're using selective thinking here. The people you're nominating for moron status are all good people. Very good people. And very valued members of the SI community.
Now, go ahead and rationalize my post to you my friend. Remember that we have been good cyber-friends for years. I have no axes to grind with you or anyone else, but the choices are yours and yours alone to make...
