Dumb statement. Why would someone who held those beliefs go into those fields? They wouldn't any more than an atheist would enroll in a seminary or a couch potato would be a phys ed major. Those fields are new. They exist to support those world views. If you want to judge the politics of academics, you have to look at fields that are not extensions of a POV. The English, history, or athletic departments are probably liberal, too, and a more apt basis upon which to draw conclusions. Will doesn't have to resort to throwing raw meat.
