that sauce of yours (on the chicken) sounds good
But I only gave you half of the recipe!
Sorry to hear about the "no leftovers". You're missing one of the best parts of Turkey Day! However, PuddleWife decided that she had a yearning for crab, so on Friday we bought 8 fresh Dungeness crabs down at the harbor (steamed them in beer), thus we've been feasting on crab as much as on chicken/stuffing/potatoes.
No, I never saw that Andy Griffith episode. That's a show that I should have watched more often.
By the way, the honor code still lives. When we called the fisherman about the crabs he told us that he was still out on the ocean, but that we should come down to the harbor anyway. I figured he'd be there by the time we arrived, but when we got there he was still awol. So I called him again and he said he wouldn't be in for 9 hours, but that he had some crabs in a submerged cage by the dock, which we could have for $5 per crab if we'd only leave a check at the harbor office for him. We'd met him only once before, and I'm sure he had no clue who we were, but we were quite happy with crab for $2.50/lb. The biggest trick was transferring the beasties from the cage to our bag without losing any fingers. |
