The loss of civil rights today will lead to abuses tomorrow. It's simple fact of history that governments go from good to bad to worse. Then there has to be a revolution to start with good again. Forward thinkers can see that bad laws made today can be abused tomorrow. They can see a steady erosion "on paper" of cherished rights that we are losing "on paper". When the abuse comes later many will find out what they have lost. No one built a police state in a day. It's smart to first build one on "on paper" then spring the trap after it's too late. Like Hitler did. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. The constitution has been gutted and you and most Americans are blind to it. No one is stopping me from doing anything today. But they can now if they want to. That's the point. What they could not do before GW and Patriot Act they can do now whenever they want to. And it's frustrating that something as basic and simple as that does not sink in. You I am sure have never researched the Patriot Act.
