Hi MrB,
My wife makes a sausage stuffing for Thanksgiving as well. We use Jimmy Dean Sage Sausage, though the Extra Sage Sausage (no longer available) is much better. We use the Pepperidge Farm Seasoned Stuffing mix, and add to that the usual mix of mushrooms (bottled, fresh, dry - whatever's cheap and available), onions, herbs (like more sage), celery, etcetera... Quite tasty. Use the fat from the sausage drippings in place of butter or margarine for a more intense flavor. And moisten with either chicken broth or turkey broth. Skip the eggs, as they're not really needed to hold the stuffing together... And one last thing... Don't shove the mixture up the bird's butt end. Bake it in a separate pan in the oven, with the biscuits, assuming you have biscuits with your Thanksgiving Day feast. My wife likes to make turkey soup out of the bones after all the meat is gone, and if the turkey is stuffed, then the soup broth from the bones is generally ruined or undesirable.
Re: 2005 market... My guess is that because everyone is expecting a very down market preceded by a very down US$, just the opposite will happen. The US$ will rise sharply and US$ denominated stocks will follow suit. Again, just a guess and a contrarian one at that... <g>
