well, you inspired me to make this yesterday: epicurious.com I added mushrooms to the sauce( sauted them a bit first and then proceeded per the recipe.) Also thickened the sauce with a bit of cornstarch. I'm glad you lost no fingers on the crab excursion. I know I would have at least broken a nail:-)
