Yes, as a matter of fact, I did finish the windows and they look great. It took me about 4 afternoons to do them -- one afternoon spent removing the old window and hacking the window opening much larger, and then a day of framing in the new opening and getting the windows into place, leveled, etc.. then a couple of easy afternoons of insulating, caulking and so on. Amazing difference in the brightness of the room, but also in the heat retention (absolutely remarkable, in fact). It was a job well worth doing. Just wish I had have gotten round to it a long while ago.
