"This is why the weaker dollar"

You totally missed the point of my earlier post:

THE DOLLAR CAN'T WEAKEN VS. CHINA ('CAUSE IT'S PEGGED), SO EVERYTIME THE DOLLAR WEAKENS VS. THE EURO... SO TOO DOES CHINA'S YUAN!

And, much of the rest of Asia is caught up in the same merry-go-round, either through official pegs, or unofficial ones (such as Japan's active intervention).

Since the BULK of our trade deficit is with Asia (around 70% or so with just TWO nations: China and Japan) the 'weak dollar vs the Euro' does next to nothing to help out our trade balance.

We don't have a deficit in trade with Europe (we have a very slight surplus with them).

The problems are all in Asia... and mostly because of the Chinese communist's prevention of free exchange for the Yuan.
