Mr. Gregory Isenor reports
JILBEY CUTS 34 METERS OF 6.13 G/T GOLD ON THE BISSA PROJECT
Jilbey Gold Exploration Ltd. has recorded significant drilling results on the Bissa property in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Drill hole ZBR 002, in the Bissa Southwest target area, located approximately 800 metres southwest of the Bissa Hill project intersected 6.13 grams per tonne gold over 34 metres. This included a higher grade section of 23.89 grams per tonne gold over five metres. This new mineralization is similar in grade and style to that in the Bissa deposit for which a resource estimate was recently announced (see news issued in Stockwatch on Oct. 13, 2004).
In addition, trenching in the Liliga area, located approximately 10 kilometres southeast of Bissa Hill, and in a similar geological setting, has returned several significant gold intervals including 4.06 grams per tonne over 31 metres and 13.04 grams per tonne gold over 11 metres. Please visit www.jilbey.com in the news section for a map and locations.
Sabce shear zone
The Sabce shear zone is a 30-kilometre deformation zone which is defined by the Bissa Hill deposit at the northeast end and the Guibare gold deposit at the southwest end. Bissa Southwest and Gonglou are located within the Sabce shear zone. RC hole ZBR-002, which returned the intersections noted above, was part of a drilling program consisting of 646 metres of reverse-circulation (RC) drilling, and 7,026 metres of rotary air blast (RAB) drilling. The program was designed to explore the area between the Bissa Hill deposit and the Bissa Southwest zone. Hole ZBR-002 was collared approximately 40 metres west of a fence of holes previously drilled by Jilbey consisting of diamond drill hole DDH ZK04-001 which intersected 8.56 grams per tonne gold over 13.7 metres and DDH ZK04-002 which cut a zone grading 19.38 grams per tonne gold over three metres and another zone of 2.95 grams per tonne gold over 20.05 metres (see news issued in Stockwatch on June 15. 2004).
A second RC hole, ZBR-003, was also completed in this most recent program and was collared 40 metres east of the holes DDH ZK04-001 and DDH ZK04-002 referred to above. This hole returned several intercepts of gold mineralization: 2.23 grams per tonne gold over two metres; 3.72 grams per tonne gold over six metres; 1.82 grams per tonne gold over three metres; 3.89 grams per tonne gold over four metres; 1.28 grams per tonne gold over eight metres; and 2.95 grams per tonne gold over five metres.
In addition, a two-kilometre-long northwest-southeast-trending line of RAB holes was drilled on grid line 8980E, 120 metres west of hole ZBR-003 described above. This line of RAB holes in several locations intersected several significant grade intercepts including 6.81 grams per tonne over four metres, 3.9 grams per tonne over 12 metres, 2.57 grams per tonne over 28 metres and 2.08 over 28 metres as shown in table 1 below.

It should be noted that within some of the wider intercepts there are several two metre intervals with significantly highergrade material. These RAB results are significant and have identified an area of mineralization in the Bissa Southwest area that will be followed up with RC drilling.
Approximately four kilometres farther to the southwest at Gonglou, a 600-metre-long RAB drill fence set up on grid line 5245E, cut a number of gold intercepts including one grading 1.43 grams per tonne over 14 metres in RAB hole ZBB-027 from 10 metres to 24 metres along the hole. The RAB drill fence was designed to cut the regional soil anomaly extending from Bissa Hill to Wemstenga located approximately 20 kilometres to the southwest.
The Jilbey program to date at Bissa has identified an indicated resource of 1,373,000 tonnes at 3.33 grams per tonne gold to a depth of approximately 75 metres at Bissa Hill, has demonstrated the presence of similar style and grade mineralization 800 metres further along strike at Bissa Southwest and has shown the mineralized structure to be present a further four kilometres along strike at Gonglou.
Liliga prospect
A trenching program (235 metres) in one trench was completed at the Liliga area located approximately 10 kilometres southeast of the Bissa Hill deposit in the Liliga shear zone. Samples from trench No. 818N returned significant gold intersects including 4.06 grams per tonne over 31.8 metres and 13.04 grams per tonne over 11.5 metres as shown in table 2 below.

A second drilling program has commenced and will test the extensions of the mineralization in the Bissa Southwest area as well as the lateral and depth extent of the mineralization at the Liliga prospect.
Gregory Isenor, president and chief executive officer of Jilbey, states: "We are extremely encouraged by the extent, continuity and grade of the mineralization found to date within the Sabce shear zone and we feel the potential exists to outline significant resources in this six-kilometre section of the Sabce shear zone. Developments at the new Liliga prospect demonstrate the opportunity for further discoveries on other structures within the immediate area. We are looking forward to an active drilling campaign in the upcoming months."
Sampling of the RC drilling is completed over one-metre intervals. Approximately 20 kilograms of cuttings are recovered for each interval. The RC chips are logged and bagged at the drill site. From each original sample, a subsample of two kilograms is produced, using a single-stage Jones riffle splitter and repeated passes with the final subsample being systematically obtained from the right side of the splitter. Samples obtained are placed in individual plastic bags. All sampling tools are cleaned between samples. The RC rejects are stored at Jilbey's guarded camp. Preparation and gold analysis of the drilling samples are performed at Abilab West Africa S.A.R.L. in Bamako, Mali. Samples are analyzed for gold by fire assay on 50-gram subsample with an atomic absorptions spectroscopy (AAS) finish. A gravimetric finish is performed systematically on samples containing more than five grams per tonne gold. In addition to the usual internal laboratory quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) data, pulp sample grain size data are monitored by Jilbey staff to insure proper pulverization. During the current drilling campaign, Jilbey has implemented a comprehensive QA/QC program which includes inserting a minimum of 10 per cent control samples (5 per cent blanks and 5 per cent standards) in the sample stream. Blind repeat assaying at the original laboratory and check assaying at a North American accredited laboratory are planed at the end of the drilling campaign. Greg Isenor, PGeo, president and chief executive officer of Jilbey Gold Exploration Ltd., a qualified person as defined under National Instrument 43-101, is responsible for program supervision. |
