Gee, that's not the typical conservative screw_thy_neighbor approach, is it? You want John to pay his full share of the bill, even though he has no kids in the system (sounds like income re-distributioin to me) and give brian the freedom to opt out and get a voucher (brian being a fictitious person with a kid in the system, and john with none)!! Wouldn't it be the republican way to return the savings to people like john who have no kids in the system? I guess some things need to be socialized after all (not the least of which is a child, by the way). Al
