Winston Churchill has some good quotes about a situation where violence was necessary.

Winston Churchill was a colorful personality. He was a politician and war time leader. He served his nation well, but after the war, they tossed him out office.

Winston Churchill will not go down in history as a great thinker. He is not a theologian, philosopher, or logician.

What he said to rally his people during dark days worked well.

Yes in most, perhaps almost every, case the world would be better without deadly violence, but being non-violent doesn't stop other people from being violent.

Western Civilization was founded on core values from the Ten Commandments and the teachings of Jesus Christ. This is what advanced our civilization to a new level.

"Thou shall not kill" is not a suggestion.

"Love thy neighbor" has real meaning.

Yes, you can cite and identify a million situations where the problem can be solved by killing your neighbor or groups of people that disagree with you.

The Judeo-Christian teachings understand all that and have factored all that in. The Judeo-Christian teachings have been vetted over several thousand years. It has not won everybody over. But it is still around.

There is no philosophy or logic system that I know of that challenges these values.

There are of course all kinds of thugs that come along, that have no understanding of philolosphy or logic that think they know better.
