It takes tremendous imagination to consider Israelis as the victims of Palestinians given the difference in firepower and living conditions of each side. But I don't expect you to see this.

Ah, yes, the reliable warmed-over Marxism of the Euro-left. "The Israelis are richer and have more guns, it must be all their fault! They could only have got rich by stealing it from the Palestinians anyway, since nobody ever creates wealth"

Bullshit. The Palestinians are poor and without a state precisely because of the decisions of the Arab leaders, including their own, for the last 60 years, NOT to build anything but a UN welfare slum, never to resettle the refugees, to keep the armed conflict going at all costs, never to take their eyes off the prize - the prize being the destruction of Israel. Toward this end all the Arabs, not just the Palestinian leaders, have warped their states. The Palestinian diaspora is actually well-educated and entrepreneurial - once a peaceful state came into being with property rights and rule of law (sadly lacking today), prosperity would soon follow quickly.

Israel, meantime, was built, and got rich (after they gave up socialism) by creation and invention and decent governance, having no resources to speak of but their people. This despite the cost of six wars and a garrison state.
