r- are there any other crazies at the lake this time of year?? :) there are crazies but i would not call them "other" crazies because that might imply that i am one, which i most definitely am NOT. i am a sane and sensible gentleman who only goes up as a volunteer lifeguard, cook and drinking companion. last weekend there was a blue fellow in a black wet suit windsurfing and this weekend there was a white lady wading chest deep in the forty degree water to help her husband attach their 26 foot sailboat to a trailer to take it out of the lake for the winter. when some air came back into her lungs and her heart began to beat again, she said, "god, i'm 60 years old. i don't need this chit. i'm going to sell this boat." or perhaps she said, "i'm going to sail this boat." i brought the spare sodas and beers back home last night because of the arctic blast scheduled for today. i didn't want them freezing and bursting in the boat this week. tell me, do you know how cold it has to be before the rum freezes? i left it on the boat. 13 degrees F is the forecast for tonight. -ep
