I've been thinking about palladium lately....if oil prices continue to rise and at some point the US moves towards something more akin to self-sufficiency in energy, coal will benefit. One of the pressing needs should that happen will be for catalytic converters which (currently) use platinum or palladium. Thus, palladium could be a back door energy play. If this scenario comes to play (I believe it's a matter of when, not if) then palladium demand will rise rapidly. I think it's a buy right here...

From an EW perspective, you can also count 5 waves down from the 2001 top, which would mean we're at or near an important low.
