I don't know if "the right are very good" or if the American public is full of fear and looking for easy answers. In my eyes, George Bush will never be anything but a draft-dodging coward who sent someone else to Viet Nam in his place. It sickens me that we have such a president. My only comfort is in the judgement of history, because it's the final proof, and it's so easy to see how we will look from the objectivity of the future.

Unfortunately, our children and grandchildren will pay for the folly. I just hope that whatever damage is done can be reversed.

Personally, I related to this post very well. I, too, am seeking answers in a "analytical and sober...observer mode."
