The difference is, imo, that Saudi Arabia has a state religion, and the US, so far, does not.

I do not see why little children of other faiths should go to school to "enjoy" Christian ceremonies, when our constitution was written by men who not only didn't want there to be a state religion, but also wanted to protect non-believers. These men were far ahead of their times in terms of religious tolerance. Do you not think they would probably still be far ahead in religious tolerance were they alive today? They were, after all, pretty "progressive," and dare I say "liberal," men for their times.
