It's called Christmas break because that's what it is. It's a break caused by the Christmas holiday. I presume people of all faiths take the day off from work or school even if they're not Christians. They don't seem too traumatized by the marginalization of their religion to take advantage of Christmas.

I've worked over the years with a number of Jews and to a one, none objected to taking Christmas day off from work. I can recall no instance of them having contended they felt marginalized by being required not to work on December 25.

Of course, most made sure they also took off the Jewish holidays as well.
