If you buying break outs, you want to see it overbought. You must know what type of pattern you are trading in order to use the indicators properly.

Overbought and oversold is an oscillator type of indicator. Oscillators are effective in markets that are choppy or trading sideways. They are ineffective in a trending market.

Since HNR is in an uptrend, you would ignore oscillating indicators until you see a reversal candlestick.

The ideal place to buy HNR was 3 days ago after it gapped up at the open and it broke above a long term pivot point.

Now that it is trending, we must monitor the indicators that measure trend. That would be the momentum bands and MACD.
