I know this won't sound right at all when you first hear it,......... but the quickest way to end the war in Iraq is to reinstitute the draft. Volunteer armies do what they are told and become the personal possession of the Commander and Chief. Draftees will tell you what is really going on and their impact back home will have a broader effect. They will push back on the entire system...they will question, they will raise hell, they will become the embedded reporters as soon as they get on the net. The idea makes me puke and I surely mean no disrespect for the soldiers who are in Iraq - the draft would be a horrific price to pay....I guess my mind wandered out too far on the edge?
