but I can assure you with near total confidence that neither you or I will ever see a world without violence. To think otherwise is living in a dream world, not reality. Its nice to hold on to dreams,

Just as we got rid of polio, smallpox, rabies, etc...we will get rid of violence. True it may never be totally eliminated, but it will become irrelevant.

It was not that long ago in this country, we settled property disputes with frontier justice - if you get what I mean. We don't do that anymore. The better educated (and more people are getting educated) go to court to settle matters (sure a lot of people do not think that is much better than frontier justice).

It was not that long ago, countries in western europe went to war to settle boundary disputes. Now they use check book diplomacy. IMO I do not think they will ever go to war again with one another in the European Union. Similarly I do not think there will ever be war between countries in North America or on the Austrailian continent.

If you look at this trajectory, how long do you think it will take before all wars between nations will be eliminated?

The end of history is much closer than you think.
