One of the reasons I signed on to SI was for the search feature. Waited seven years for it to work properly, now I get to pay again... not.

The one that's available to you now works quite well. It's just limited to the current year. The big downside on that one is that in 2005, it's going to start over with the new year.

The one we're charging $19.95 per year for (along with other cool features and more to come) is much better than even the advanced search the site temporarily had in the Go2Net days.

And it works and should be a LOT more reliable than even the basic search the site used to have.

Edit: Unless I'm mistaken, and I sometimes am, the old version's search worked whether you were a paying subscriber or not.
