RE: A fool to trade OR A fool to buy and sleep. I was there in 1983 when IBM was 180. They were king of PC's and king of mainframes. They didn't get back to that price until 1996 (split adjusted). DEC isn't even close to reaching its high in the fantastic 1983 tech mania. Buy and hold is good for your kids if the number of shares makes transaction costs too high, but at least hold 4 or 5 stocks so you won't feel sorry for yourself in 10 years. PS, AMD, my favorite stock now still hasn't reached its '83/84 high, I don't think.
