I hope you are not one of those that tries to butcher Christ's teachings to fit his views and current lifestyle. In fact Christ, "the man", teachings were right on. He understood the egocentric selfish bigoted and greedy evil that resides within humans and he teached against it. But as typical of people like the evangelicals and "Christain" fundamentalist equivalent of that time, they killed him for it.
