Ted, Yes, and what does it matter? He's an example of a liberal evangelical, someone who go against the cultural grain of the "religious right." The left can use more guys like him (and frankly, so can the right), although he'd probably be too much of a maverick to satisfy the PC-nazis and the anti-God secularists. Frankly, I can't tell the difference between 'the good' and 'the bad' evangelicals but more and more, I see them as the enemy.
