It's a funny thing about all those Muslims in the Middle East. They blame the U.S. for not getting involved in helping them make democratic reforms and bring them to parity with the civilized world. And yet, when we get involved in a very big way, starting with Iraq, they want us to leave. When we don't, they start killing Iraqis in greater numbers than they kill our troops, in order to make their point.
In recent past, about the only positive attempt the US has made in the ME was under Clinton trying to broker a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. Most of the rest of our involvement over the past 50 years has been garbage.
So let me ask you...........would you want the help of a neighbor who never has your best interest at heart? Of course not.
But most Americans are pretty dumb when it comes to the garbage perpetrated by the US gov't in their name. Excuse me, I thought it was because they were dumb......but now, with the election of Bush, I realize they just don't care.
I am beginning to believe that Muslims are an unsalvageable lot.
Yup. That's what they said about the 'colored' back in the early part of the twentieth century. Those colored just weren't worth a damn........lazy and irresponsible. Worse.....they wouldn't do what the white folk wanted them to do. And of couse the white folk knew better.
They damn you if you do and they damn you if you don't.
They are damning us because we have screwed them over in the past. You can't have it both ways. After screwing them for decades, you can't expect people to love you when you think you've had a change of heart and you really want to help them.........you think, maybe, possibly.......or is really because we want their oil.
My conclusion is they simply want to damn you, and it doesn't matter to them what you do, you will not change their minds.
There is no question of that now..........Bush has very nicely solidified and concentrated all the anti-American hate in the ME. You've got heehaws running the national gov't. They don't have a clue as to what should or shouldn't be done. But what they do know is that they have the most nukes so they can get away with any BS they perpetrate.......or at least they think they can. And the American public have given them carte blanche to do what they want..........welcome to a brave new world where the stupid shall inherit the world.
Therefore, we have no choice but to use all of our might, economic, diplomatic, and military, to fight them until they decide that peace is a better way or until they're more progressive elements decide they'd better reign in the anti-Western rhetoric and terrorism to ensure their own survival.
And I used to think you were an intelligent human being. I guess intellect ain't what it used to be. |
