IMO it is because of successive liberal governments and their policies of a multi cultural country. The last time I remember any politician wanting to limit immigration was a few years back and he was given the label of racist by the liberal government in power at the time.... good bye anti immigration politician. Some years back a liberal leader from Quebec managed to get laws passed making this country a multi cultural country and the rest is history. IMO any multi cultural experiment is doomed to fail. Most immigrants leave their home countries to get away from cultural hatreds. Problem is they come to a country like Canada and find that the hatred they tried to escape is living right next door free to live as they did in whatever country they came from. So we are not only gaining new people to the country we are also importing their centuries old hatreds as well. As I have said many times...IMO there should be a policy of assimilation that must be agreed upon by any new immigrants who wish to live in our countries. Dream on. So why does Canada not do anything about muslims teaching hatreds....because they are to stupid...laws won't permit it....or maybe just plain afraid to rock the boat. IMO Canada thinks that because they are the nice guys that islam terrorists will spare them...I think that islam terrorists have use for Canada and their lax laws that allow them to thrive and expand and become more powerful ..... much like europe.
