Personally, I would pay a one time fee to upgrade, just to contribute to site development. I do not support the yearly fee idea, and I'm no spring chicken. It could be cheaper for me to pay the yearly fee, but there is more to it than that.

SI is a unique business model IMO, it is the users that are the raw material, the manufacturing and the sales....... they are the business......and they attract more business. SI software is just the pipeline, and I doubt any are paying to play with the software. It's a given that the better it works is a good thing, it allows the attracting community to post more and better info, attracting more business again

The original members contributed to a business that ended up a huge success for the founders, memory tells me somewhere north of $30 million. It is the users that will determine the success of the current owners, many of them grandfathered, by what they offer on a daily basis. I doubt that the $20 yearly upgrade fees will make Bob a whole lot of money.

I do not consider myself in the group, but many of the grandfathered users are very knowledgeable, and are probably the reason you spent YOUR MONEY to join.

Otherwise you could enjoy Raging Bull.

Just musings from a country boy,
