Not to beat a dead horse, but the reason you probably got your new car is most likely due to some grandfathered members.

Anyway, I am grandfathered, but not cheap, just principled.

I would be willing to pay a multiple of the yearly fee if guaranteed all site services for x years. What I fear is coming, and what I will not be involved in, is constant piddly little increases for this and that, much like extra fees many banks have implemented.

IMO it is in SI's best interest to have "every" member enjoy the full capabilities of the site. I don't know of a better way to getting customer satisfaction and world of mouth advertising than that.
